Spectra Foods Blended Shortenings combine the flavour subtlety of high-quality vegetable oils with the endurance and frying strength of premium beef tallows. The result is outstanding high-performance frying, whether you are running continuous fryers for potatoes, fish and chips, onion rings, chicken, or lightly breaded products.
Unlike many competing blended shortenings, every Spectra blended product is fully deodorized, meaning no unwanted smells are transferred to the kitchen air or to the finished product. Food comes out light, crispy, and clean every single time. Stable at high temperatures, they also contain an anti-foaming agent for greater operator safety.

Health Profile
Spectra® Beef Fat is cholesterol-containing by nature — it is an animal fat. It contains zero trans fats and is free of hydrogenation. Fully deodorized. Kosher certified. Extremely stable at elevated frying temperatures with a fry life that meets or exceeds most vegetable oils and shortenings. Not suitable for operations with halal, vegan, or vegetarian requirements.
